S13 With 1JZ Power Plant
Stage 1: ARMS-M8280 Turbo Kit = 370 HP
Stage 2: ARMS-M8280 Turbo Kit + EXPREME Outlet Pipe (Test Prototype) = 400 HP
Stage 3: ARMS-M8280 Turbo Kit @ 1.6K Boost + EXPREME Outlet Pipe (Test Prototype) + PONCAMS = 450 HP
Stage 3.5: ARMS-M8280 Turbo Kit @ 1.9K Boost + EXPREME Outlet Pipe (Test Prototype) + PONCAMS = 506.17 HP
At first, the Turbo was upgraded. There was good power but for competition level, it wasn’t enough to compete with the V8’s in the Formula D series. So more power later came from the Tomei Expreme Outlet Pipe (test prototype). This helped increase the Turbos efficiency. Then with the Poncams, the power band was improved considerably, with more power gains. Due to the nature of the 1JZ characteristics, Nick felt there was still more potential left, so with the increase in boost levels, finally, 506 HP was achieved. The results were, improved turbo response which made the car easier to control.
