The Malaysian Merdeka Endurance Race was held at Sepang, Malaysia on the weekend of 15 – 17 of September. The endurance race series that are very well known in Japan has spread to other countries. This time in Malaysia. An impressive overall victory this year for the European entrants ANG Yanagida and Taniguchi on the PETRONAS team, Congratulations! Our dealers ST POWERED and ST Wangan from Singapore and Malaysia also entered in their 3 car Honda Civic team. ST POWERED is a regular competitor in these kinds of race series. In previous years they used to race a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO and also a Subaru Impreza. This time they came with a Honda Civic TypeR (FD2). These Honda cars have our test prototype camshafts installed. As Tomei is well known for our camshafts, this is another phase of the R&D and testing of the new upcoming camshafts we are designing for the Honda K20A engine. Congratulations to team ST POWERED for taking the win in their category with their Honda. This was a great success and we were happy to see them win. So stay tuned Honda fans as Tomei is now looking into the Honda scene too.
