“This car is used at track events with minimum budget for maximum fun. We wanted to create a road racing series which focused on grassroots racers who did not have big budgets like the race teams out there. So the classes we created limited the modifications, and enabled racers to have fun on track with equal power setups. We discussed for 3-4 months and came up with very fair class rules. And most importantly, the points system allows drivers to drive the cars to the track, race hard all day and drive it back home. We concentrated on modified class and setup the stock engine with Tomei ARMS 7960 turbo, producing about 420BHP, and entered the competition with 7 points out of 13 maximum allowed for the class. As expected, we were on the bottom of the class but still faster than street class racers with 6 points allowed. We needed to be more competitive for the EVO/WRX challenge so, we decided to go with the Tomei 2.3L stroker kit & typeR camshafts. We couldn’t wait for the upcoming bigger ARMS turbo, so chose the garrett GT3076R stock location turbo and pushed it 1.5bar and got about 540BHP and 80kg torque. This car is still street driven but we only boost 1.2 bar on 91 octane, producing about 480BHP. The new setup allowed us to bump up to 2nd place overall for 2010 season. There are 3 more races left, and we will do our best. “
