BUTTONWILLOW TEST (1st time)

Local testing begins.
Members who was are the SEMA show move check into a hotel closer to the track at around midnight.
Especially after the SEMA show, it is best for the CUSCO team to stay near Buttonwillow due to the distance of Vegas and LA.
Already each member is excited with the upcoming testing on the track.
TOMEI CUSCO IMPREZA ARRIVES!
An usual tool that we borrowed here on the day since we had limited equipment with us. The locals were so helpful and it showed us the great hospitality of the Americans which helped with our team.
The main points of this test are to do final preparations and check the setup made in Japan if suited the track conditions at Buttonwillow. Tarzan Yamada was there and ready to give good feedbacks on the car.
Started running on the track.
One of the first cars out on the track to check the settings live at Buttonwillow. The engine setup had to be tweaked to suit the climate conditions and elevation, but apart from that no other major changes was needed.
Traction, cornering and braking all had to be tweaked to suit the bumpy nature of the track.
Between sessions more refinements were made to suit Buttonwillow.
Running with this setup a new time was achieved at 1min 47secs.
This was not a proper attack but showed great expectations for the next day.
On the test day there were some small problems but generally nothing serious. So far the results showed that the efforts and work in Japan was paying off with the speed of the car. Since there is no test driving allowed tomorrow we had to address all points and get the most from today to find anything else that needed attention before the final attack day.
