Test Day 2
Unfortunately the engine problem still persisted. After futher investigations we found that the fault was a faulty coil pack! It seems that the new air guides and cooling sheilds that was made prevented adequate air flow to the coils, so with the added heat saturation it just caused the coil pack to fail. But since we found the problem and fixed it with spare parts, we were back in business. We continued testing, and we managed to get a 1:33 laptime. But then later on in the day, Tarzan started to complain about the gearbox. It didn't seem to be the gears, so maybe the selector. Since tomorrow is the actual event day we had to fix it now.
Lucky for us we had a spare gearbox and Eastern Creek was now home to the Subaru Australia Technical Training center. So with luck on our side the helpful team at this Subaru technical training center helped us out. We were given access to their work shop facilities and equipement. Even their staff pitched in to help. Awesome guys and we got the car fixed and we were ready for tomorrow! Thanks everyone!
