Session 4
The 1st session of day 2. Today we saw the Resurrection of the CyberEVO! It had been out of commission for the last 2 days with a broken camshaft so a full head rebuild and mapping was done. Thanks to the fantastic guys at HALTECH and all the helpful Australians who pitched in with sourcing parts, the CyberEVO was back! This EVO is powered by a TOMEI 4G63-22KIT and is driven by the same driver TARZAN YAMADA and sharing the same Aerodynamics as our car by VOLTEX. This was the main reason why we shared the same garage pits. Then with it's 1st outing in the morning the TARZAN YAMADA put down a blistering new hot laptime of 1:30:8990!
An overwhelming record time and breaking the 11 year V8 Supercar lap record of 1:31.7301 that was set by Mark Skaife in a Holden VT Commodore back in 1999 (on slicks!).

The TOMEI CUSCO IMPREZA now heads out for the first attack run with the new front setup with increased downforce.

The changes in our aero settings helped us gain better results and we put down a 1.31.9010 record laptime.
Now we were back in 3rd place. Behind
1st Place : CyberEVO
2nd Place : Sierra Sierra EVO

Session 5
CyberEVO is still leading.
Sierra Sierra EVO is still in second place.
TOMEI CUSCO is still in 3rd.

ADVAN PHOTO Session
ADVAN held a media photoshoot between sessions 5 and 6 with all the teams. As the event was still going on.
Lots of fans came over to support the YOKOHAMA ADVAN photoshoot.
Even though the event was still busy we managed to enjoy some quality time with the fans. Then back to business for the last session.

Session 6 (The Final Session)
With the final session we held our position in third place.

Late in the afternoon the last attack of the day was good, luckily the weather stayed good with no rain.

Award Ceremony
Final Results
1st CyberEVO 1.30.5870
2nd Sierra Sierra EVO 1.318840
3rd TOMEI / CUSCO 1.31.9010

With the hairline difference of third place to second place of only 100/18 of a second. We were a little dissapointed in the end. So close yet..
Still with a third placing after all the troubles and obstacles it was still a good result.
If there is a chance again, the next time we will aim for the top. You can see our team leader on the podium which is Mr. Ogikubo from CARROSSER.

Congratulations, CyberEVO.
Congratulations, Sierra Sierra EVO.
Thank you to our team members of TOMEI CUSCO IMPREZA.
