Event: D1GP Tokyo Drift – Part 1

Here is the first part of the D1GP Tokyo Drift event report from the past weekend.

As the world knows, there has been some tragic events recently in Japan. So since many people in the northern parts of Japan have suffered,

from these tragic events, many people from around the world have been helping to support those in need. At Tomei, some of our close friends have been affected too. So we decided to help more each month. This time with a charity fund raiser at D1GP.

With every 500 JPY donation, we gave away a free Tomei badge. All the proceeds that we had raised, went straight to Red Cross Japan for those in need.

We weren’t the only ones pitching in to help. Also the great guys at Team Orange were doing the same. Was a great feeling to help raise spirits to rebuild what was lost.

At our booth we had our 1JZ display engine on show. To showcase the new upcoming 1JZ products that are being developed as we speak at Tomei Powered R&D Lab.

The world famous Speedhunter, Dino Dalle Carbonare was present. As always, Dino NEVER misses any great car events in Japan.

There was a very special rare car on show too. This time, an LFA which did some burnouts and was drifted! Yes it was stock standard too.

Here’s our all new ARMS Bolt on Turbo for the 1JZ engine.

Our recent new type ARMS  turbos for the SR20 and RB26.

It was a long day, and a hot one. More to come in part 2!
